Chasing beauty is something we pretend to not do as we age.
Look at Madonna, with her baby cheeks and apple mouth.
I hear older men lament about women their own age not "taking care of themselves" as their dad bods lust after 20-30 year olds.
Seriously, I have had men in their late 60's tell me that I am too old for them!
How can we NOT feel scared as our body starts change shape, the skin loosens and hair thins? And why is it people who identify as "women" the ones to bear the brunt of it?
Let me tell you, no amount of botox, filler, skin tightening is going to stop that clock from moving forward.
I am here too. Suffering in my own losses. Terrified that yes, I am aging out of love, of being attractive to men my own age (because most of them who are fit enough to be considered by me ARE dating women 20-30 years younger). Here I am spending my money on eye surgery, botox, supplements, skin creams, etc to slow the process.
And it doesn't.
I am right there with you...sad, scared, feeling the loss.
I am WITH YOU too. Standing up for beauty and love and the glory of being a woman who has lived over a half a century. ` We can still be loved, be sexy, have orgasms, and be seen as beautiful. and so I keep reminding myself because it is TRUE.
Much love and blessings,
